While there is little doubt that Christmas is a joyous time and most of us look forward to it for a large part of the year, there are still a great many of us who dread the Christmas period as it brings chaos and stress with so much to do and so little time to do it all!
Between buying gifts, decorating the house and cleaning it, not to mention preparing the Christmas meal many of us find ourselves exhausted mentally and physically come Christmas day.
When you add to that with the added pressure of entertaining young children over the school holidays and trying to find things to do "as a family", the whole Christmas and New Year period can feel like a chore for many households.

Christmas tends to creep up on me every year and I've barely recovered from the shock of the changing weather when I find myself watching Festive ads on TV, telling me the ‘holidays are coming', and hearing plans being made for Christmas party nights out! So although I refuse to sing any carols (aloud) until at least the morning of December 1st, I never think it's too early to start thinking about your extra-long Christmas shopping list...

This is one very busy week for fashion in Dublin! With American Fashion Giant Forever 21 having opened the first of its European doors on Saturday, next to the newly opened New Look in Jervis St Shopping Centre (largest in the World may I add!) and with the Xposé Xmas Xperience happening at the end of this week, it's proving very hard for us all to keep up with everything!
But I made sure I popped along (any excuse to shop really) to check out the special ‘Shop and Rock' evening in Dundrum last Thursday, where the shopping centre threw a huge after-hours shopping to shake late-night shopping evenings up a bit.

As any girl who has ever worn heels higher than four inches will know, there are just some occasions when one must simply put up with the pain in order to achieve beauty.
We've all seen ‘that girl' tiptoe barefoot down the streets of Dublin dodging puddles, sharp stones and some pretty scary infectious diseases, all because her feet were ready to go home but she wasn't!
But alas, we no longer need to compromise on our style, as someone has finally come up with an idea to save our soles! Something so simple, so obvious yet so brilliant, I'm almost kicking myself I didn't get there first; the invention of the foldable shoe.
