FIXED RATE MORTGAGES ?
Q - I have a standard variable rate (SVR) AIB Bank mortgage and have been offered a fixed rate. I am not sure if I should leave it on the variable rate or which fixed rate to opt for - 3, 4 or 5 year. Can you help please ? Catherine - Greystones

I'm 28 years old and I've been running regularly for the best part of five years now. By regularly, I mean roughly 3-5 times a week, sometimes more, often times less.
By running, well, that's even more of a flexible notion - "getting round" is the term which perhaps captures it best! To be honest, as the more sleuthing of you will have already surmised, I'm not your archetypal runner, at least not in anything approaching the Carl Lewis or Sebastian Coe senses of the term.

Indeed, despite my best intentions, the following facts remain the case, almost half a decade on: I'm still quite fat, I'm still notably inelegant and I'm still very slow! But none of these factors really explain the point in running, as anyone who has already been ‘bitten by the bug', as the oft-spouted cliché goes, knows all too well.

Here we go again! As we approach the end of August, we start to feel an air ( a cool one at that ) of pessimism. The summer is ending, the nights are becoming shorter, the traffic becomes heavier, and the bills get higher!
It is only natural for our minds to turn to sunnier climates. I'm sure there are many of you who already have the flights booked to head off to South East Asia, for a well earned month holiday or as a stop- gap before heading on to Australia.
We at OnOffer.ie will bring you excellent tips before embarking on the journey of your Lifetime! This week, we are going to Focus on Thailand and look at some do's and do not's!

No, it's not a slang term telling the crescendo of "BOGGERS" who now live in the capital city to return to their native pastures! In fact, the term has nothing to do with the beautiful Boglands of Ireland at all!
The BOGOF is a phrase that is beginning to take Ireland by storm! You may have previously only seen the term on many a blackboard outside bars & clubs in places such as Malaga, Kusadasi, or the Algarve.

The OnOffer.ie Bootcamp Challenge. Week1
So having promoted Bootcamp Ireland and their Outdoor Military Style Fitness and Training offers on the site, we at OnOffer.ie decided to see what all the fuss was about and to give it shot ourselves.
Alan and Simon from the office signed up to an 8 week course which entitles you to up to 3 sessions a week (we go Monday and Wednesday) over the 8 week period. We were confident that being in our mid-twenties that we would be well able for it. Sure we knew there would be some huffing and puffing but we are still young(ish) and reasonably fit aren't we?
As it transpires, actually ... no, no we are not!
